Cycling
Getting to know the Chiemgau by bicycle: Cycling leisurely and taking up the scent oft the woods, passing lush meadows, and rustic farm houses, always with a view of the rugged summits. The flat, sunny Inzell valley is ideal for "pleasure cyclists" and families. Little treasures can be found on every route: Weather-beaten hay barns, centuries-old churches, enchanted clearings. Crystal-clear mountain lakes inviting to cool off, cosy inns and shady beer gardens to have a well-deserved "Brotzeit" (snack).
For those who want to discover even more: More than 2000 kilometres of cycle trails connect the Chiemgau with the Berchtesgaden and Salzburg areas. There are countless possibilities. A tour to the lakes Förchen-, Löden-, Mitter- and Weitsee. A day trip to the "Bavarian Sea", the Chiemsee, there a tour around the lake by bike and boat. Or combining sightseeing with cycling. There is a cycle path along the "Rote Traun" to the Natural History and Mammoth Museum in Siegsdorf.
In case there is not enough power left for the way back, tired cyclist can hop on the local buses or the Inzell "Radltaxi" and they, including their bikes, are brought back to Inzell.
