Nordic Walking
Boosting heart and circulation, getting rid of fat pads, relieving stress, exercising the whole body and enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Inzell valley: Feeling the springy grass under the feet, inhaling the spicy air of the forest, listening to the chirping of crickets by the wayside. Among the 150 kilometres of hiking trails in and around Inzell there is a favourite one for every nordic walker - from plane paths leading through the nature reserve to challenging mountain trails up to the Chiemgau pastures.
In 2006 Inzell became DSV Nordic Aktiv Zentrum (awarded by the German Skiing Association, DSV) and therefore is specialised in nordic walking. There are three marked tours in the village, starting point is the "Nordic Aktiv Zentrum" at the Water Park: Advanced walkers might choose the black route along the Falkenstein: Nine kilometres, ten percent incline, difference in altitude 197 metres. The easy blue tour winds through the charming rolling hills at the bottom of the Teisenberg. Fanciers experience the wild romantic nature of the Inzell moor on the medium red nordic-walking-course. The correct handling of the poles is shown here on display boards.
For those who prefer walking under guidance, it is possible to learn from experienced nordic walking guides. Courses can be booked in the Nordic Aktiv Zentrum, adequate equipment can also be hired there.
