Made for nordic skiing

Rare moor landscapes, birchwoods and sloping meadows, the snow-covered summits quite close: Inzell in the Chiemgau area is a cross-country skiing area like from a storybook. And meets all ambitions. There are wide trails that for all levels and are groomed daily, all connected with short feeder trails.

Worth knowing

Cross-country skiing is good for your health.  It keeps fit, moves all muscles and is joint-friendly. It is important to build up physical condition before winter. The right technique you will learn at the Clothing: Should have a wind-proof front and a breathable rear side, so icy winds haven't got a chance.

The family trail. The classic "Filzenloipe" is popular with parents and children. The trail is easy and almost without climbs, leads through varying landscapes and the Inzell moor, the "Filzen". Info boards of the moorland-adventure-trail are there also during winter, it's worth a short side-trip without skis.

Don't forget ski waxing. Wax maintains the cross-country skis and makes them fast. Nothing is more annoying then struggling with blunt skis through the tracks or without a firm grip on a climb. Which wax is the right one depends on the temperature. It is possible to have your skis serviced, if you don't want to take care of it by yourself.

One trail, three places. The 35 kilometre "Chiemgau Team Trophy-course" leads from Inzell via Ruhpolding to Reit im Winkl offers unlimited cross-country skiing in the Chiemgau. The trail goes along the "Alpenstraße" through an idyllic mountain and lake area. There is a team competition every winter.
